Honest Daily Harvest Review Mulberry And Dragon Fruit Oat Bowl (2023)
I just received my very first Daily Harvest delivery, however, I’m not new to this brand. I was lucky enough to try a taste at a friends house and absolutely loved it! Needless to say, this first box was like receiving the perfect gift on my birthday.
Out of the six items sent to me in my first Daily Harvest box, I decided to try The Mulberry And Dragon Fruit Oat Bowl first. Here is my honest daily harvest review.

How beautiful is the Daily Harvest branding? The graphic designer in me is squealing. It’s totally my vibe. Beyond the graphic elements, the oat bowls are packaged in recyclable and compostable bowls, recyclable protective wrap and package wrap. The entire box your frozen healthy deliciousness is packaged and arrives in is fully recyclable, along with the interior components.
As someone who recycles as much as possible, this is such a huge deal for me.
Finding whole foods that are plant-based and actually healthy is like winning the lottery! I always look at a products ingredients, before investing in them, whether its at my local food market or with a food delivery company. Daily Harvest makes it super easy to find their ingredients and they only use healthy foods and ingredients. What a breath of fresh air!

Mulberry And Dragon Fruit DH Oat Bowl Nutrition
A single oat bowl is one serving size and is 230 calories before the addition of milk. Because that is chosen by the foodie themself, the nutritional label doesn’t include those numbers. Be sure to log your foods, if you are intentionally counting calories or watching your macros, like me.
I love the low calorie amount for the mulberry and dragon fruit oat bowl and know that when I add 1/2 cup of plain unsweetened almond milk, my total calories for this bowl comes in at 245 healthy calories!
The carbohydrates number is a bit high for my liking, but again, you’re eating all healthy, no sugar added, organic whole grains and organic fruits. For my high carbohydrates days, this is my preferred breakfast choice. I’ll even add a few more healthy ingredients if I’m in the mood to really get the most out of this plant-based healthy breakfast.
Before any additions, the mulberry and dragon fruit oat bowl alone has 9g of fiber and 5g of protein! Yes, girl. YES!

Ways To Prepare Your Oat Bowl
Because Daily Harvest is delivered with dry ice and meant to be stored in the freezer, it’s important to put everything away as soon as possible. Just grab it out of the freezer when you’re ready to eat it and prepare your frozen oat bowl.
Here are 2 ways to prepare the Daily Harvest Mulberry and Dragon Fruit Oat Bowl.
- Microwave – Grab the oat bowl out of the freezer and remove the lid and protective food cover. Add 1/2 cup of your favorite milk right to the bowl and pop it into the microwave for approximately 1 minute 30 seconds. Lightly stir your oat bowl and pop it back into the microwave for approximately 1 more minute. You may need to adjust these times based on your individual microwave’s watts. Enjoy your oat bowl right from the container it came in!
- Overnight Oats – Perhaps the easiest way to eat an oat bowl on the go! Open the packaging of your oat bowl and add to a glass mason jar. Pour in your chosen, preferred milk, right to the jar and fill it to just under the top rim. Cover tightly. Give your oats and milk combination a little shake shake shake and pop it in the fridge for at least 6 hours, up to 24 hours. When it’s time to eat, give your jar a little shake before you open it, put your spoon in and enjoy! Yum!
Easy Breakfast Meal Prep Idea
Daily Harvest makes meal prep SO easy for me. I’ve been on a very personal and quiet weight loss and get healthy journey for years, but have committed fully to a plant-based diet this past month. It has been life changing to say the least.
I did struggle with figuring out my meals, at the very beginning of this journey. Meal prep seemed too overwhelming to my ADHD brain, so for me, having someone literally give me a full meal that I can grab whenever it’s most convenient AND is healthy, organic and plant-based? Sign! Me! Up!
Daily Harvest is my life-saver. Their oat bowls are not only a healthy, nutritious breakfast meal option, but I’m able to not even think about meal preparation because they do it for me with their already prepared frozen meals.
I also don’t have to worry about the food spoiling if I change my mind, as it comes frozen and can be eaten when I want.
I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that my earlier attempts at meal prep with fresh, cooked foods, turned out disastrously! I ended up not wanting to eat the already prepared meals come time to actually eat them. Oops! Thanks tastebuds.
Do I Recommend The Mulberry + Dragon Fruit Oat Bowl From Daily Harvest?

I really freakin’ do. It’s probably one of my favorite’s so far, from their entire line of food products which include:
- Smoothies
- Flatbreads
- Harvest Bowls
- Forager Bowls
- Scoops
- Lattes
- Soups
- Mylk
- Bites
- Bakes
In all honesty, it really takes a lot to impress me. I’m a bit picky when it comes to my food, especially. I’m at the point in my life and in my health journey that if the foods I’m considering aren’t actually healthy, I’m not going to try it.
I’m NOT looking for additives or food dyes or preservatives or ingredients I can’t even pronounce.
I’m looking for real, healthy, organic, plant-based foods. Daily Harvest provides this in such a convenient way!
Do I love and eat raw, fresh foods? Yes of course I do.
But I’m also a busy, full-time working mama of four and being able to grab a meal from my freezer that I know is healthy, fits into my macros and daily calories and tastes really freakin’ good?
Yea. I’m a fan.
