How To Make Overnight Oats Using Instant Oatmeal Packets
This is my favorite way to eat oats at the moment. It’s crazy easy.
I’ll toss a packet of instant oats and add 2.5 fluid ounces of milk to a tiny mason jar. I’ll give it a shake shake shake and place it inside my super amazing skinny fridge.
Approximately 3 to 24 hours later and I’ve got the perfect neutral oatmeal base and can add any toppings I want, to suite whatever mood I am in that moment.
It’s love I tell you.
Jam in overnight oats is MY jam! Ha!
I kinda added my favorite blueberry jam to my overnight oats by total accident, before even attempting to put together this recipe for you. I LOVE adding organic preserves to so many things, but I had never attempted adding it to overnight oats. I was pleasantly surprised and pretty much hummed MMM the entire time.
Of course that fast healthy meal was not a dessert per se, but I digress. It’s probably one of my favorite ingredients to add right now. In fact, I have another jam flavor to try soon.
Can you add jam in overnight oats? Hell yea you can!
Have you ever tried adding Jam In Overnight Oats?
Aldi currently carries my all-time favorite organic jams and preserves line made by Simply Nature. This brand is one of my top 3 healthy brands when I’m shopping for my fridge and pantry, over-all.
Adding an organic jam or preserve to your oatmeal can instantly make it naturally sweet. The jam’s thickness makes the overall texture so enjoyable.
I like my oats to be a little thicker verses runny so jam is something I reach for when I have a sweet tooth. I highly recommend this topping, if you haven’t tried it yet!
